Roatan Dolphin Encounter

The Roatan Dolphin Encounter was voted in the #1 excursion for families in Roatan. Your dolphin excursion starts by taking a boat over to the dolphin lagoon on a private island. There you will get in waist deep water with 12 bottle nose dolphins and a trainer. You will be in a group of 6 people and the trainer will describe the dolphin´s behavioural patterns, social structure, physiology and will give you the opportunity to touch, kiss and play with them. The centre has won awards for its excellent treatment of the dolphins and they are one of two centers in the world who regularly let their dolphins out in the open ocean (where they are free to not come back if they choose). They will also display their amazing strength by doing jumps and tail walks. During the session you can take your own photos. There will also be a professional photographer to take  your photo.  Fun for all ages and no water skills required! The dolphin encounter tour includes return transportation from your resort.

The dolphins were so friendly and playful. The trainer gave us lots of interesting facts about their lives and behavior. It was great to know that the dolphins are free to swim in the open ocean

Being in waist-deep water with a dolphin was surreal. Our trainer was so knowledgeable and explained everything about the dolphins’ behavior and physiology. We got to touch, kiss, and play with the dolphins, which was a dream come true

This was a bucket list thing for me. Our trainer was friendly and informative. I loved how we could take our own photos, and the professional shots turned out great
